Val Chmerkovskiy shows sculpted abs as he workouts in the sun

 Val Chmerkovskiy was out having fun in the sun and showing off his body that he works so hard to maintain. 

The Dancing With The Stars pro stripped off his shirt to show off his abs as he worked out in Los Angeles on Thursday.

The 29-year-old took in some Los Angeles sunshine and got in a good workout as he took a break from the DWTS rehearsals.

The Ukrainian native donned navy blue gym shorts, sneakers and a backwards baseball cap.

After winning the mirror ball trophy last season with celebrity partner actress Rumer Willis, Val has lived up to his older brother, Maksim's legacy.

The break is well-deserved for Val as he excelled for the Switch Up week on DWTS with partner Bindi Irwin on Monday.

Val was anxious to meet his new partner as he confessed, 'Last week Bindi probably performed the dance of the season. I mean she got the first 10, this week I think there's a huge responsibility to continue her momentum.'

Val 's current dance partner is Tamar Braxton, who is killing it on the show. They are in 2nd place and maintaining a strong presence on the show.
