When I was in high school I was a complete and utter tomboy. I shudder now at my previous ‘style’. I kid you not when I say I wore a cap every day. Honest to God. My NY Yankees was my most treasured procession, even though I had never seen a game. I also didn’t own a skirt and when finally in year 11 I wore one to school, I wore Rockport boots with it.
Today I am a completely different person. Fashion is something I love and adore. However skirts are still makeup the least in my wardrobe. So I am trying to change this as I get more body confident with my legs. I was in town looking for a present for Nessa’s birthday when Topshop just called to me, and who am i to be so rude as to ignore that?
I’ve mentioned before how sales just aren’t my thing, and yet for a second time running Topshop came up trumps. I salute you Topshop and your brilliant, if not disorganised sale rail!
The skirt is quite thick and the quilting make it look expensive, which OK it is Topshop Boutique and was £68.00 but I got it for a bargain £15.00. See mum, I can go budget.
Never one to play by the rules, I clashed it with this monochrome printed shirt. Double tick on the trend front there. If that is too ‘out there’ for you, this skirt would work just as well with a plain blouse, or I would love to wear it with a thin grey sweater.
