Tinfou at the door of Sahara

We find Tinfou 26 km from the city of Zagora on the Southeast. Going to Tinfou, let you live a glimpse of life in the desert (best in the afternoon).

Leaving Zagora should take the road to the Southeast (road of me hamid) to Tinfou. 18km later, we arrive at Tamegroute, lazy, famous village for its library of the Koranic school as well as by his craft cooperative of pottery. It deserves a stop to visit. Then continue on this same road until Tinfou. The latter is known for its small sand dune you will see a little further, on the left of the road upon arrival. Take the small trail leading to it, you'll see some Nomad tents installed on the bumpy plain. To take a walk of a few minutes, on foot or camel advantage *. You will certainly not forget this experience.

The road to the oasis to the majestic kasbahs

The road of 1,000 Kasbahs is aptly named. They are many both along the 230 km between Ouarzazate and Goulmima and approaches of the valleys and palm groves.
Accessed in Skoura, small town where deemed palmeraie abound many kasbahs, well maintained, as the Kasbah of Ameridil, the most famous of them. then, a few miles further, Kelaat Mgouna where the rose harvested from April to June is honored and celebrated for 3 days early May during the feast of roses. Browse trails along the edges of the Wadi me Yacoub is a true scattered pink Rapture, poppies, wild corn, almond trees, fig trees and wheat fields sequence an amazing garden beauties and scents. Out of Kelaat Mgouna lies the village of Norhasrin where formerly the Jewish community of the village specialized in the manufacture of daggers, tradition perpetuated today know-how over 200 artisans.

Boumalne that share the road that runs along the Valley of the Dades, borrow, it is 60 km from happiness. The road winds along the Valley and plays with vertical drop. It offers a varied and impressive landscape on the kasbahs, the astonishing cliffs to the fingers of monkeys, panoramic views, the gorges, the village of Mserir and Valley little known of Oussikiss including the stone houses, fields and gardens well irrigated as well as the nearby dam invites to what there is there relaxes.

Tinerhir, pleasant city, deserves that we remain awhile. Down and on the edge of the Palm Grove lies the mellah, more old quarter of Tineghir. On the heights, the Kasbah of the Glaoui overlooks the surrounding area. Nearby are the gorges of the Todhra to which a picturesque road leads, along one of the most beautiful palm groves of the Morocco inhabited villages in Pisa and kasbahs.Walks around the Gorge along this impressive fault of 300 m, lead us to the discovery of paths of the High Atlas and Berber villages.

Down Todhra Gorge to Tinejdad palmeraie stretches a few km in the direction of Ferkla. At Tinejdad, the visit of Ksar El khorbat dating from the 19th century is worth just as much as the Oasis Museum located opposite the main entrance of the Ksar. The Museum Lalla Mimouna, 4km before the entrance to Tinejdad is an inevitable stop, borrows from poetry in praise of water, source of life of the oasis. The route of 1,000 kasbahs ends in Goulmima. Located in the oasis of the cured the Ksar Goulmima is one of the most beautiful in the region.

M'Hamid Dunes

M'Hamid El Ghizlane or me gazelles hamid, is the last village before the vastness of the Sahara. Silted, ochre and proudly erecting its palm trees, the city is the starting point to the adventure and the dream. The inhabitants of M'hamid, of nomadic roots knew the noble past of their ancestors, a knowledge acute corners of the desert, its dunes and its reg. The souk day is an opportunity to cross the famous blue men, these desert cameleers, formerly nomadic.

The road to get there is magnificent: Zagora and its famous Panel "Timbuktu, 52 days of Dromedary" Jebel Zagora which offers a beautiful panorama over the Valley of the Draa, Tinfou dunes, along the WAD Dra'a, palms, kasbahs and ksours...

After slow progress on the winding roads of the Djebel Bani, you really are in the desert.
The small village of M'hamid, with its low houses of Pisa, seems to be out of the sand. At the entrance of the village, on the right, there is the small square where stands the souk, on Monday morning. further, the centre of the village with its souvenir shops and the Café of the village.
